ENHANCED Glock GEN 5 CAP Sights

Ameriglo sight set with green tritium lamp, square outline front and serrated rear for Glocks Gen 5. Designed using highly visible front and subdued rear for rapid sight acquisition.

The enhanced rear sight now offers a serrated 90 degree angle on the forward (muzzle) side to better "grab" the edge of a belt or holster. It is best used by hooking the sight on to a solid edge, locking the wrist which will cam the muzzle outward and opening the top of the ejection port for more reliable removal of a trapped cartridge case.

.140"w and .180"h front, black serrated rear .256".

Also available in orange.  Colors may differ slightly from pictures due to screen display settings. These are designed to be a POA/POI sight set. Ammo type, eye sight, distance, etc may affect this.

COMMON QUESTION:

“Do I need this set of sights for my Gen 5? Can’t I use the standard CAP set or the T-Cap set?” Yes – you can. Let us try to explain! We have found that most previous generation Glocks versus the Gen 5 stock front sight heights are different. Our understanding is the barrel used in the Gen 5 Glocks pushes the point of impact up a slight bit versus the previous gens. Thus Glock changed the rear sight height slightly to compensate. Rather than making a new rear sight, Ameriglo has suggested a taller front sight for their sets. Result- the same POI you'd have with the factory sights. We have found that each gun, the Gen 5 34 down to the 19x will be slightly different.

This is the same sight set as the Enhanced Glock CAP sights but with the aforementioned taller front sight. Ameriglo recommends this sight set for 5th Gen Glocks. The difference in POI is not huge -MAYBE 2.5" at 25 yards, or around an inch at 15 yards- MAYBE. This is all about personal preference! The user would have to be a HIGHLY accurate shooter to see a huge difference. It is much more likely that the weight of the bullet being used is going to affect POI much more than the height of the front sight. Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer for the Gen 5's and how exactly a particular handgun will shoot. We personally have used the standard Cap and T-Cap set in a 19x with no issues. (Ameriglo does not make a taller T-Cap front.)
